Introduction

Under the leadership of co-chairmen H. Ross Perot, Jr. and Roger Staubach, BENS Texas began a period of growth in January 2007 and is enlisting the experience and expertise of successful business leaders throughout Texas.  Executives from a wide variety of fields have joined BENS in pursuit of the key national security issues of concern to BENS members: securing the resources necessary -- and "spending smarter" -- to reshape and rebuild US military forces, and building business-government partnerships to develop the new tools necessary to combat emerging security threats that cannot be deterred or negotiated away.

Because of growing interest in BENS by business and corporate leaders throughout the state, BENS restructured its programming and is expanding its membership in Texas. As part of that restructuring, a Regional Director was put in place in January 2007. We now offer opportunities for business and corporate leaders on a statewide basis to use BENS as a non-partisan channel to engage on national security issues.  BENS Texas is hosting events and initiatives throughout the state.t
