The BENS-pioneered public-private partnerships model for homeland security is now nationally recognized and rapidly growing. With so many new states and communities seeking to build their own partnerships, we’re taking our leadership to the next level. Rather than managing partnerships directly, BENS is now helping others create and operate their own public-private partnerships.
Our vision is to help create a nationwide network of self-managing partnerships that benefit from our leadership and expertise in bringing the efficiencies and resources of the private sector to disaster preparedness and response.
Currently, BENS is assisting with the start-up of the new California Resiliency Alliance – a statewide effort led by the former BENS Bay Area Business Force and its director, Peter Ohtaki. Beginning in 2010, the California non-profit organization will serve as an independent facilitator and resource to community partnerships throughout the state.
