BENS has re-introduced itself to the Intelligence Community (IC) and, repeatedly, hears from all parties that there are lessons that could be learned from the private sector. These include methods of analysis on Wall Street, benchmarking of research products, financial management and accountability, and best practices for communicating information throughout large organizations. As the IC restructures itself, it seems interested in an exchange of information with BENS’ independent and experienced members. This will occur via both short-term and long-term projects, including a 2007 analysis “Best Practices” project in partnership with members of the Intelligence Community.
