Strategic Engagements

BENS regularly receives requests from national security agencies and military commands for member involvement in addressing ongoing security challenges.  Our current strategic engagements include:

  • Providing guidance for the White House review of federal cyber security policies.  BENS plans to continue advising officials on the proper role of government in securing privately held computer networks as well as prospects for public-private collaboration on cyber security.

  • Working with U.S. Southern Command and Joint Forces Command, BENS members are bringing private-sector perspectives to help further define and operationalize the Joint Operating Concept of Cooperative Security and improve how military services and government agencies work together in a joint security environment.

  • Working with the Director of National Intelligence and trade associations partners to discover ways the private sector and intelligence community can work together to deal with increasingly diverse threats to national security.
