Tuesday, October 27, 2020 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM
Time Zone: America/New_York
Local Time: Tuesday, October 27, 2020 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM

Please join BENS on Tuesday, October 27th for a virtual discussion with James R. Sisco, the Founder and CEO of ENODO Global. Mr. Sisco will discuss the joint project they recently completed with George Washington University (GW)’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration that examined the security risks associated with Huawei’s 5G implementation, economic impacts of sanctions against Huawei, and social implications associated with Huawei’s 5G rollout. The Capstone team produced a Social Risk Analysis that highlights the challenges faced by both Huawei and the U.S. government and their inability to shape public perception. The report’s recommendations deliver novel solutions to help both Huawei and the U.S. Government develop and enact favorable policy decisions that enable the successful implementation of Huawei’s 5G technology into the U.S. telecommunications infrastructure.

James R. Sisco is the Founder and CEO of ENODO Global, a Social Risk advisory firm that combines advanced data analytics, social media exploitation, and a population-centric methodology to deliver real-time awareness and predictive analysis that enables commercial and government clients to manage their risk exposure, increase profitability, and safeguard their brand. Jim draws upon an extensive military career in US Marine Corps special operations and Naval Intelligence to lead ENODO. He brings to ENODO a unique understanding of risk analysis and a wealth of knowledge and experience in leadership, management, intelligence analysis, strategy development, and counterinsurgency warfare, developed through military operations across the globe where he immersed himself in diverse cultures. Career highlights include serving as Military Liaison to the Afghan President, supporting the US Director of Intelligence as an authority on Afghanistan, and establishing the US Navy’s Irregular Warfare Office. Jim earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University. Jim has been published in numerous professional journals and co-authored Left of Bang: The Value of Sociocultural Analysis in Today’s Environment.
