Norman C. Chambers

Executive Chairman of the Board, NCI Building Systems

Norm Chambers has more than 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. Norm began his career in the oil and gas industry as a deep sea diver with Brown and Root, a predecessor of KBR, and has successfully worked his way up the corporate ladder. His managerial career has encompassed top executive positions at well-recognized public and privately-held companies, including Halliburton, Petrocosm, Comfort Systems USA and Capstone Turbine, all leaders in their respective industries. Throughout his professional career, he has had many challenging assignments and has lived and worked extensively all over the world.

For the past thirteen years, Norm’s career has focused primarily on the North American non-residential construction industry. He has worked for NCI Building Systems (NYSE: NCS) since 2004 and has served as Executive Chairman of the Board since July 2017, as Chairman of the Board and CEO from 2008 to July 2017, and as President from 2008 to January 2016. Norm has led the growth and evolution of NCI’s business through challenging economic periods, and has been instrumental in developing environmentally-friendly construction products. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for NCI since May 2003 and currently serves on the Executive Committee. In 2015, Forbes magazine listed NCI Building Systems as one of America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies.

Norm served on the Board of Trustees of Springfield College 2005-2011 and was one of the founders of the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics at Boston College which hosts the Chambers Lecture Series. He was Chairman of the Let’s Rebuild America committee through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 2012-2015, and he served on the Board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from 2011-2016. In September 2016, Norm was appointed to the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers. He became Chairman of Business Executives for National Security in October 2017.
