Eisenhower Award Dinner

The 2017 Eisenhower Dinner in New York celebrates the concept of Partners in Securing Our Homeland. To an expected crowd of over 400 business and national security leaders, BENS will recognize three extraordinary Americans who symbolize the joint effort required to secure our nation – the partnership of all levels of government, the private sector, and global allies. This year, BENS honors retired Marine Corps General John F. Kelly; Motorola Solutions Chairman & CEO, Gregory Q. Brown; and Bloomberg LP Founder, former New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Join BENS on October 17, 2017 to pay tribute to these great American leaders, along with the first responders and the men and women of the U.S. domestic security community who work on the front lines to keep us safe and secure everyday.

The BENS Eisenhower Award was first presented in 1986 on the 25th Anniversary of President Eisenhower’s Farewell Address. Both public servants and private citizens have been selected by members of the BENS Board of Directors to receive the Award. Past recipients have included, among others, President Jimmy Carter; Secretaries of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Condoleezza Rice; Secretaries of Defense Leon Panetta, Robert Gates, William Perry, and William Cohen; Senators Richard Lugar, Sam Nunn, Carl Levin, John McCain and John Warner; Generals Joseph Dunford, John Abizaid, Chuck Boyd and Michael Hayden; Admirals William McRaven, James Stavridis, and Eric Olson; and business leaders Jeff Bezos, Kevin Plank, Norm Augustine, Raphael Benaroya, Denis Bovin, Mary and David Boies, Fred Smith, Robert Rubin, Maurice Greenberg, Josh Weston, and Stanley Weiss.
